Job purpose:


After a fantastic 12 months we are expanding, and are now seeking a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join our growing and progressive managed IT service provider based in Sidcup, Kent.

The role of a 3rd Line Support Engineer will be to provide in-depth Infrastructure support to our growing client base. You will be involved in all Server level issues along with any issues which are escalated from our 1st/2nd line team. You will be working within a Windows environment (Sever 2012, Office 365 and Active Directory) but also with other technologies such as VMware, Citrix and Mac OSX. The majority of the role will be done from our head office but you may be expected to travel to client site for project installs and support.

The correct candidate for the 3rd Line Support Engineer role would preferably have some experience working with an IT outsourcing company / IT reseller or have worked within a strong 2nd / 3rd line support role.

Knowledge of IT, cloud solutions and Managed Service Provider background would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills and computer literacy is a must.

Essential Skills:


• Microsoft Server systems up to 2012 R2

• Exchange 2010 / 2013, any exposure to Office 365 would be beneficial

• Active Directory & Group Policy

• IP Networking

Further experience within some or all of the following would also be highly beneficial

• VMware / Hyper-V

• Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop

• Web Hosting, DNS, Linux WHM / Cpanel

• Advanced IP Networking & Routing

MCSA, MCSE or CCNA is highly desirable.

As you will be working as part of a team and will be in regular contact with our clients, team working and communication, both written and verbal, must be very strong.
